Systems engineer with hardware skills

Role Description:

We are looking for a Systems Engineer with hardware skills to join our IT team. The resource will be responsible for the management, maintenance and monitoring of the IT infrastructure, dealing with both the system side (servers, networks, security) and hardware support and management (PCs, printers, network devices).

Main responsibilities:

• Configuration and maintenance of servers, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and enterprise networks
• Monitoring the performance and security of systems
• Management of backup, disaster recovery, and upgrade activities
• Technical support to users (second-level help desk)
• Diagnosis and resolution of hardware and software issues
• Configuration and maintenance of hardware devices (PCs, notebooks, printers, switches, routers, etc.).
• Collaboration with vendors and other departments to implement new IT projects

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in computer science or technical field
• Prior experience in a similar role (2+ years preferred)
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
• Experience in managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file servers
• Basic skills on TCP/IP networks, firewalls, VPNs
• Good knowledge of hardware components and fault diagnosis skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Excellent organizational skills and problem solving orientation

Preference is given:

• Technical certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco)
• Experience with virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V)

Knowledge of ticketing/helpdesk tools.
