Liquid Carbon Dioxide
An important project conducted in partnership by Gas and Heat with Voestalpine.
Voestalpine’s F550 TMCP toughcore carbon steel has successfully passed field weld qualification tests, proving its suitability for medium-pressure liquid CO2 (LC02) transport tanks.
This material enables more efficient and safe LCO2 transport by allowing for higher tank capacities and more economical vessel designs. The qualification, conducted in partnership with Gas and Heat S.p.A., marks a significant milestone in the development of the LCO2 value chain for carbon capture and storage (CCS).
